SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT

Potable water is generally scarce. In Austria, the groundwater level has dropped significantly in some regions, such as 2012 in the region Lavanttal Valley. In the summer there was no rainfall for months and too little snow during the winter. A decline in groundwater levels, siltation, encrustation and corrosion are the consequences and common reasons for a decline in water quality and flow of potable water wells.

AIR JETTING PROCEDURE

The Air Jetting procedure cleans and regenerates the well at the same time. It is working with cooled, oil-free air in breathing air quality without the use of any chemical agent removing iron, manganese, humus, sludge, sand, ochreous, sintering and other deposits. Air hydraulic pressure waves produced by introducing highly compressed air in short intervals cause the water column cleaning effect, which acts very deep in the gravel filter.

LOOSENING THE GRAVEL

Due to this alternating pressure loads the gravel is loosened up to 20m in radius which causes a simultaneous cleaning of well casing and gravel filter. Gravel deposits in the filter, such as manganese and iron are crushed by the air pulses and flushed out. Filter pipe, filter vents and filters are cleaned at the same time.

The MTA Air-Jetting procedure for well cleaning is suitable for well pipes, PVC, concrete and clay pipes as well as for filters for non-aquiferous pipes. A video inspection by under water camera ensures accurate inventory and documentation before and after the cleaning process.

SAND REMOVAL AND PUMPING TEST

Sand removal is indispensable for the removal of deposits after the cleaning process. A special valve system is lowered into the well bottom producing an air-water mixture with low density and high flow rates of up to 25 m/s.Pumping test for the discharge of deposits and soilings following a successful purification. A thorough well purification ensures a higher output of water.
